With their student population growing rapidly, the King John School urgently needed Davis Construction to expand on their existing facilities. We were asked to renovate the existing Youth Centre in order to create a new Humanities Block.
The sustained growth of the school meant that bigger and better facilities were necessary for both students and staff. A plan was put in place to create larger classrooms and improve teaching environments.
The works completed included eight new classrooms, offices areas, as well as male and female toilets. With works carried out whilst the school was occupied, the safety of all children and staff was a top priority.
Starting with the demolition of two sides of a building, this part of the project paved the way for the new extension to be built and subsequent works to begin. We completed the construction of a posi-joint timber roof which was assembled along with a waterproof membrane. We went on to install LED lighting, power, fire alarms and air conditioning units. Our expertise was used to create not only a custom external ramp but to complete all necessary landscaping associated. Our proficiency enabled us to complete all work to the highest standard within the 25-week timeframe, despite severe weather disruption.
We have worked with Davis Construction for many years and have always found that their consistent and attentive support fits very neatly with our approach to providing a first class service. We have served The King John School, among other clients, for over ten years and have delivered a whole range of projects. Davis Construction are amongst the most competent partners we have engaged through this period. Their attitude is both practical and professional, and they provide clear management of the scheme both on and off site. The end results speak for themselves.
