Shaw Primary Academy – Educational

Davis Construction was appointed to this £450,000 education project consisting of a new administration block, including a main reception area, several office areas, male and female bathrooms and a plant room.

Shaw Primary Academy was keen to ensure the quality of their facilities reflected the quality of teaching they provide for their students.

The work was carried out whilst the school ground was occupied, therefore great care had to be taken to ensure the safety of both the children and school staff.

We put strict safety standards into practice during every stage of the construction process, starting with the site clearance, laying of the foundations, brick/block cavity walls and the installation of the Posi-joist timber roof with waterproof membrane. We maintained this throughout the project during the installation of air conditioning, LED lighting, power and through to the completion of decorative elements.

In spite of weather disruption, all work was completed within the ambitious 17-week timeframe.
