Topping Out at Emerson Park School

Topping Out at Emerson Park School

Last week we gathered at our Emerson Park School site to commemorate the milestone of Topping Out at this fantastic Educational project.

Emerson Park school is a £2.1 million, year long building project which once complete will see the construction of a new 9 class base and ancillary offices to replace an existing building which has come to the end of its useful tenure. The classrooms will provide much needed new spaces for a variety of subjects including two new specialist ICT suites, and a multi purpose room with sliding walls to allow for more exam space.

We were very glad to have gathered with Head Teacher Mr S McGuinness, Head Girl Imogen, Head Boy Seth, school Governor John Luff and school representatives Louise Tonks and Karen Smith to mark the significant moment with a tour around the site.  It was a significant and traditional moment that lies within the construction industry and we are pleased to share the tradition with the local community and bring to light how important it is to us to be part of shaping Education for local students and school staff across Essex.

Mr McGuiness said: “All of us at Emerson Park Academy are incredibly excited at the prospect of moving into our new state of the art facility. This new block will provide our pupils with a great platform from which they can continue to learn effectively. We are very pleased with way the project has progressed and Davis Construction have been great partners in this venture.”

Our specialist knowledge of construction in the education sector along with our history of delivering high-quality projects has made us one of the go-to school construction companies in the south of England and we are very proud to have been part of the venture at Emerson Park.

Tom Davis, managing director of Davis Construction, said “We feel it is important to work closely with the school involved, and we make the most of every opportunity we get to share with them the progress made. It’s good to see the positive reaction and we continue to push the project in the right direction as we bring their vision to life.”

Running through to our core is the belief that a teacher can perform their role best when they’re given the right tools for the job, and this starts with their working environment. We’re committed to delivering innovative yet practical school builds, renovations and refurbishments that inspire students and staff alike.

We are confident in the delivery of Emerson Park School and are glad to be progressing well and on schedule. We look forward to the final stages and always aspire to the moment we hand a project back having made a difference to the future of all those working and learning in the new environment.
